SCOTTISH ALL ROVER RALLY 2008 & BORDER ROVERS Tour
The organising committee invite owners of all classic Rover cars and Land Rover vehicles to take part in the annual Scottish All Rover Rally.
The event will this year be based at Thirlestane Castle, near Lauder, over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend of Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th May 2008.
Now in its fourteenth year, our unique event offers: ü Scotland’s premier event for all Rover car and Land Rover enthusiasts. ü Special guests: The Wolseley Register. ü Optional road tour on Saturday. ü Camping and caravan space available on adjacent site. ü Saturday evening social event for entrants. ü Free access to Thirlestane Castle grounds for 2 persons. (Pre booked entrants only). ü Discounted entry to Castle. (Open Sunday only) ü Trophy awards for all classes, oldest vehicle entered etc. ü Commemorative rally memento, guaranteed first 100 bookings only.
To start the event, we will be organising a road tour of the Borders region on Saturday 24th May. The format will allow entrants to visit a number of attractions at their own pace, with opportunities to take refreshments and explore the countryside. Tour distance is expected to be around 90 miles, and is planned so you can enjoy the uncongested open roads of Berwickshire and its varied scenery. We will be hosting an informal social gathering for entrants on Saturday evening at Thirlestane Castle. A buffet supper will be followed by a fun quiz. Evening reservations must be made via SARR using the attached booking form. Your ticket includes a welcome drink and wine with your meal. On Sunday 25th we host our usual static event, with self judged concours and Championship judging. Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of our event and renew old friendships, maybe even make some new ones! Explore the Castle and its grounds and walks, sample the tea room and gift shop.
Please complete the entry form and return it with your payment to the address overleaf.
Your entrant pass and final event details will be mailed to you about 2 weeks prior to the event date.
